The owners had thought about many significant changes to their home before deciding to focus just on the kitchen and it's connection to their very large private back yard.  The existing kitchen was dark and narrow. Opening the wall between the kitchen and the entry hall allowed a view from the entry hall to the back gardens.  A wave pattern large wall tile and a very inventive metal tambour capped off some of the modern features.
